Karis Cheng

Co-founder & Head of Brand Studio
,
Unsensible

Karis, is our Head of Brand Studio (and also our in-house font guru). She leads all client brand projects and translates them into enticing visual languages to create growth for founders and investors. Her design approach is rooted in strategy and storytelling, ensuring that each piece of work is not only engaging but purposeful.

With a background in brand strategy, advertising and spatial design, Karis has helped Facebook’s top DTC clients refine their visual identity to create audience growth. She has also recently built a sexual wellness brand from the ground up, directing product development and all things visual.

Karis joined Unsensible from Joyce Wang Studio, where she crafted unique interiors for hotel and restaurant clients.

Before this, Karis was a Brand Strategist at Brand Union and Art Director at Ogilvy, helping clients from real estate giants and luxury hotels to one of the first virtual banks in Hong Kong establish their brand voice in Asia.

Karis has won a Cannes Lions Bronze, a Clio Silver and a D&AD Wood Pencil for her work with Amnesty International during her time at Brand Union.

When not designing, you will most likely find Karis sipping milk tea, doodling type and chasing after puppies.
